What Our Lifetime Transferable Warranty Actually Covers

Every automotive tint job we install comes with a transferable lifetime nationwide warranty, and because the word "lifetime" gets used loosely in a lot of industries, it's worth being specific about what that actually means for you.

What's covered

The warranty covers four specific failure types.

• Bubbling
• Peeling
• Fading
• Discoloration

Those are the ways window film actually fails over time, whether from poor adhesive, cheap film, or a bad install. If your tint starts to bubble because the adhesive is breaking down, or the edges start to lift and peel, or the film shifts color or fades unevenly, that's exactly what this warranty exists to fix. We back this because we install film from brands we trust, 3M, LLumar, FormulaOne, Coolvu, Avery Dennison and Solex, and because we're a certified LLumar installer with a real process behind every job. A warranty is only as good as the install underneath it, and that's the part a lot of cheaper shops cut corners on.

"Transferable" and "nationwide," explained

Transferable means the warranty follows the car, not the original customer. If you sell your vehicle, the new owner is covered under the same warranty, for the same issues, with no extra paperwork required from you. That's a real selling point if you're trading in or selling privately, since a buyer can see the tint is under warranty rather than taking your word for how new it is.

Nationwide means the coverage doesn't stop at the Frisco city line, or even the Texas state line. If you move out of state, or you're just traveling and something goes wrong with the tint, the warranty still holds. One of our own customers is a good example of exactly how this is supposed to work. She'd had tint installed on a previous vehicle in Seattle, it started curling, and LLumar referred her directly to us to make the repair under warranty, even though the original install happened nowhere near Texas. Our technician Symon handled the claim and the paperwork, and the repair itself was completed in less than an hour.

How a claim actually works

If something covered under the warranty shows up on your tint, whether we installed it or another certified shop did, you don't need to start over from scratch. Bring the vehicle in, we'll look at what's happening, and if it falls under bubbling, peeling, fading or discoloration, we handle the repair. This is also part of why we see so many repeat customers, including people who've had six different vehicles tinted with us over the years. They know that if anything ever goes wrong, it gets fixed, not argued about.

Why this matters more than the price tag

A window tint job that looks great on day one and starts bubbling within a year isn't actually a good deal, no matter what it cost. The warranty is our way of putting our own money behind the claim that we use good film and install it correctly. If you already have tint installed somewhere else and it's starting to show these problems, that's worth a conversation too. It might be coverable under whichever shop did the original work, or it might be time to have it corrected and reinstalled properly.
